Strength for The Journey

16 I heard and my heart pounded,
    my lips quivered at the sound;
decay crept into my bones,
    and my legs trembled.
Yet I will wait patiently for the day of calamity
    to come on the nation invading us.
17 Though the fig tree does not bud
    and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
    and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
    and no cattle in the stalls,
18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
    I will be joyful in God my Savior.

19 The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
    he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
    he enables me to tread on the heights. “

Habbakuk 3:16-19, NIV

Meaning of Life….

We often reach a standoff, were we wonder what is going on in our lives. The daily cycle gets tedious and ultimately we end up questioning ourselves, our purpose and above wasting away precious time and memories.

“What is the meaning of life ?

Life is without meaning
You bring the meaning to it.
The meaning of life is whatever you ascribe it to be.
Being alive is the meaning.”
-Joseph Campbell

The Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven

18 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.

10 “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.

The innocence of a child, the guilelessness of their thoughts and actions are few of the many traits that endears them in the Kingdom of Heaven. The beauty of children lies in the fact that they live for the moment. They don’t worry about tomorrow nor do they ponder over yesterday. Can we be like a child in this crazy modern world? It is an Utopian concept, but it never hurts to give it a try.

Nuts over Nutella

“Without pain, how could we know joy?’ This is an old argument in the field of thinking about suffering and its stupidity and lack of sophistication could be plumbed for centuries but suffice it to say that the existence of broccoli does not, in any way, affect the taste of chocolate.”
― John Green, The Fault in Our Stars

Chocolate is one of the best luxuries of life. If broken love tears you apart, try asking what hurt’s more to the foodie trying to stay away from “Nutella”.

Below are some shots I found and that’s what I plan to do with my jar of Nutella.

“The Ancyent Marinere” taught us…

Farewell, farewell! but this I tell
To thee, thou wedding-guest!
He prayeth well, who loveth well
Both man and bird and beast.

He prayeth best, who loveth best
All things both great and small;
For the dear God who loveth us,
He made and loveth all.”

- From "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, 1772-1834

The Wise vs. The Foolish Builders

46 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? 47 As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. 48 They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. 49 But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.” ( Luke 6:46-49, NIV Version)

Your life….your call !!!

How many times do we look to others to make our final choices ? How many of us stand by our choices ?

These questions always haunt me especially when we take the big risk or the big decision. The struggle is whether to risk making a mistake or live by the decisions of others’, which is a risk by itself. However, in the end, risk or not…what really matters is whether we did it for us or for pleasing the rest of world ?

Whatever decision, choice or risk we take, ultimately we only matter to ourselves not anybody else. So take the risk, make the choice and stick to the decision only for yourself, because you matter the most !!!
